Welcome to tandem studios. I don’t know exactly where to start, but we are excited to be here. We want to use this forum to share some of the great things we find for our antiques business, and to showcase Steven’s one-of-a-kind lighting designs. I will also highlight my artwork at some point, as well as passing on fun links and finds from our fellow dealers/designers/artists. We want to use this blog to call attention to our shop on Warren St. in Hudson NY, which we share with three other dealers. (If you have even a passing interest in antiques and have not taken a stroll through Hudson yet, you are missing quite an experience. Get some idea of what the town holds here. )
In addition to the shop in Hudson we also set up at antiques shows, and will post dates and info for those as they approach. Shows are such a fun way to shop for antiques – you can get a great variety of merchandise in one place, and it is interesting to interact with the dealers providing the stuff. In my mind, it is the opposite of the dusty impersonality of multi-dealer antique malls.
Truly I expect this space to take on a life and direction of its own, that I am not anticipating. We have a lot of ideas and areas of interest, and it will be interesting to see which of them bubble to the surface here at tandemstudios.net. At least, I hope it will be interesting…

Hi Hilary,
Thanks for you nice comments. Welcome to blogland!! I think it is great that you are trying the blog thing to get people into your shop. I am actually trying to get one set up for the group shop that I am in but I don’t think they like the idea. Oh well it’s their loss I guess. But keep at it, I beleive that many new doors will open as a result of having a blog. Good luck to you and your shop, I hope the site will pay off!!
