This past weekend we were set up at the Round Lake Antiques Fest in Round Lake NY, near Saratoga.  This is one of our very favorite shows of the year – for lots of reasons!  Its a great show in a truly picturesque little Victorian village – it couldn’t be a more charming setting.  And we always do well there, selling fun stuff and re-connecting with lots of repeat customers.  But best of all, we have wonderful friends who live right in the village!  So instead of having to rent some crappy motel room or sleep in our van we get to walk over to their house every evening, take a refreshing shower and enjoy a relaxing evening.  I cannot over-emphasize how great this deal is for us – we feel so spoiled!  And as an added bonus, my friend and her family have terrific taste, and we get to revisit and enjoy all kinds of things throughout their houses that we have sold them over the years.  Very fun!

We love folky, funky dog stuff!  And anything with lots of drawers!  (These terrific green drawers stayed in Round Lake, in the house of a dear friend — that makes me happy.)

Yeah – we like the unusual, the crusty and the green!  The big honeycomb vase is one of our favorite finds at the Round Lake show this year.  Its going to the shop in Hudson on Friday.

So it was a busy and tiring weekend, but successful – in sales and in fun.  We are forever in debt to our Round Lake family. 

Next weekend we are at it again, at the 46th Annual Wood Bull Antique show on Rt. 28 in Milford NY, right outside Cooperstown.  This one is Sunday only, from 9 – 4.   This is a smaller show but has great quality and is definitely worth a look!
