Cooperstown Antique Show on the 4th of July

Have you heard the news?  Steven and I have gotten involved in the management of the annual Cooperstown Antique Show!  We are very excited, and a tiny bit overwhelmed because honestly we don’t have time for one more project.  But if this is a totally crazy move, please don’t tell us.  We are happy with our delusions.

Dog of the Week – My Little French Rescue

When we do antique shows, I buy myself presents.  I work hard, I am making money to support our family.  I deserve a present.  That’s how I figure it, anyway.  I used to almost always buy jewelry, but lately it’s been dogs.

6 Tips for Shopping an Antique Show

As we prepare for the Schoharie Antique show, and the kick-off of our 2010 show season, I want to rerun a post from a year ago.  Following are my tips for enjoying an antique show, whether you are a seasoned antiquer or a newbie to the game .

1.  Bring cash.

Many antique show dealers do not accept credit cards.  You can also write a check, so bring those too, but it is wise to have cash in your pocket.  You can complete transactions quickly (and get on to the next booth!) and dealers appreciate it.  It…
