Whew. Since my last post, things haven’t changed much. Still scrambling to catch up/keep up while continuing to volunteer as much of our time as we can.
Things are moving forward in Prattsville (one of the towns near us that was devastated by Hurricane Irene) but in so many ways the hard work is just beginning. The grocery store, Jim’s Great American, has re-opened. Young’s Agway has too. These are hopeful signs, elements of normalcy that the people need so much. So there I was. Down in North Carolina with Steve and the boys, visiting my mom.
While we were there I was working with my web guy, wrapping up a VERY EXCITING PROJECT – the renovation of our website!
Brian (my designer dude) finished the development and testing of the new site right at the end of our visit. It’s a busy season around Tandem-ville, and I’ll bet it’s a busy season where you are as well.
Summer is beginning, the kids are out of school (and bored. Already.) Invitations to BBQs, graduations and parties are arriving.
Steve and I are preparing for two of our biggest events of the summer: The Round Lake Antique Festival this coming weekend, June 25 & 26, and the Cooperstown Antique Show the next weekend.
