When Steven was in the shop on Friday he took a couple of photos of some of our display, including our gigantic stainless steel bowl. We were bandying about ideas for the use of such a big bowl – an over-the-top centerpiece display (you could practically use watermelons as if they were lemons!), tossed salad for a platoon, ice and beer (LOTS of it!)
What would you use that bowl for? I am sure there are lots of creative ideas out there.

Ice storms and power outages have cramped my blogging style, and now it is snowing like crazy outside. So quickly, before my power goes out again, here are some fun shopping ideas for Hudson NY.

One of the things we did this weekend was walk down Fifth Avenue in NY and look at the holiday windows. Some were wonderful and some were gaudy, some charming and some just over the top. But it got Steven and I thinking about Christmas shopping in general, and the contrast between shopping for new and for antique.
