Sunny and Hot at the Cooperstown Antiques Show

Steven and I did the Cooperstown Antiques Show at Wood Bull field on Sunday.  The weather (always the hottest topic of discussion at any outdoor show – no pun intended) was terrific — quite hot, but NO RAIN.

Happy 4th of July from Warren St. in Hudson NY

Well, is the corn knee high???  Today is the deadline.  I learned that when I became a country girl, or at least as much of a country girl as I am. 

I hope everyone had fun today.  As long as no one got too silly and lit the firecracker sticking out of cousin Billy’s back pocket, or put the corn on the cob into Grandma’s tailpipe, its all good.

Busy Busy Middle of the Week

Its a funny thing about being an antique dealer – the middle of the week tends to be sort of our weekend.  There are lots of reasons – the shop is open Thursday to Monday, antique shows are on the weekend, other shopping opportunites tend to be weekend things.  So Tuesday and Wednesday are like a strange version of Saturday.  I need to get caught up on laundry and clean my bathroom.  However, instead of doing that today, I got the urge to rearrange my living room.  (avoidance technique, perhaps?)  We have really small rooms in our little old Victorian, so each one seems like a…
