Leave it to me to feature a number for my first Love Letter post. I’m just rebellious that way.
But I could not resist the bold charm of this handmade print block. It’s big and chunky — whatever they were selling for $1, they didn’t want it to be overlooked!
To help you appreciate the size of this piece, I took a picture of it with the antique dog mug from my last Dog of the Week post.

Our collection of dog items is larger than I realize, and spread all over the house. This early soft paste child’s mug has been in our bedroom for the last couple of years, and it was just recently that my eye fell on it and I thought, “Oh, look. There’s another dog thing for the blog.”

I bought this terrific little carved dog plaque at the Round Lake Antique Show a couple of years ago. I saw him in the showcase of a dealer that I know – a really nice guy who always has an interesting, high-quality small items. I spotted him on Friday, as we were all setting up, but he was a little pricey for something I wanted to keep.
