Words are cool. I like words.
Just a single word, something as broad and abstract as “texture”, conjures up emotions, memories, pictures in your mind. Different for everybody. What was your first thought when you saw the title of this post?
I was working through a portion of Danielle LaPorte’s Fire Starter Sessions (awesome resource for any entrepreneur looking for a positive kick in the business pants) and she asked me to describe my business in one word. My mind immediately went blank. Probably not a good sign.

2010: Done. Over. Stick a fork in it.
2011: A blank slate. An empty page. A world of possibility.
So what are we going to do with it? 12 months, 365 days, 8760 hours. Do you have a plan?
I’m psyched. There are things I want to do, places I want to go. I’m not talking about travel (tho that would be nice), but about personal growth, professional calisthenics, pushing myself out of my normal little boxes and into uncharted territory.
Life is rich. This year, I want to taste it.

Christmas has arrived. I hope it finds you well, happy and surrounded with loved ones.
The whole thing can get so crazy, but I urge you to take a moment. Just a moment, if that’s all you can spare, and assess what you have. Not in comparison to what other people have, but simply how it measures up in your own heart. Home, family, children perhaps, good friends, your dog. Breathe deeply and appreciate.
