This is a very pretty pair of vintage cast aluminum sconces, perfect for outside your door or out on your porch. But they would also be fun to use inside, perhaps on either side of a guest bed, or in the bathroom.

Painted a nice bright white, but could be sand-blasted down to the aluminum finish.

This is a terrific old one-drawer stand in painted metal. I really love the tall and thin proportions of this piece, and it has terrific legs!

The old brown paint looks great, but it could also be re-painted and/or sandblasted for a whole new look.

Extremely Cool Industrial Ceiling Hook - Adjustable

This is the coolest industrial hook (or really, set of hooks.) They suspend from the ceiling and are adjustable in length. The upper pair of hooks measure 19 1/2" wide and the lower pair of hooks measure 18" wide. The entire piece including the ceiling hook measures 50" long at its shortest setting. You can then extend the length to either 60" or 70" long.

This could be used for many things, but I picture it in a loft-like environment, hung near the front door and used for coats. Or suspended above a kitchen island and laden with pots.

Construction is metal with old grey paint. Terrific patina.

Shipping is possible and can be arranged. Pick-up is also an option, either here in the Catskill mountains or at our shop in Hudson, NY.

*SOLD* 19th c Wildlife Painting Grouse Chicks by Samuel Kilbourne

This is a charming 19th c oil painting by listed artist Samuel A. Kilbourne of Maine. Kilbourne was best known for his paintings of fish and other wildlife, and there is a strong auction record of his paintings and chromolithographs. In my research, however, I have not found anything quite like this little gem.
This diminutive painting depicts three chicks pecking around, and the colors and light are wonderful. It would benefit, and probably brighten, from a cleaning but there is not paint loss or damage of any kind.
The frame is period, and also quite charming. The frame measures 10 3/4" square and the opening is 6 7/8" across.

Old Folk Art Cabin with Stone Chimney

This is a charming handmade toy cabin with some wonderful details.
It is wood, with only a partial roof so you can have access to the interior. There is a stone chimney on the exterior and a stone fireplace and mantel on the inside. The chimney has been broken and repaired at some point in its life.
I love the woodshed, and the little front porch.

Pair Very Unusual Glass Globe Vases

This is a pair of found object vases that we just love. I am not sure what their original purpose was - some kind of fishing floats or insulators or something. But they are fabulous, adjustable, modern vases now!

Let me explain. They are spherical except for the opening, and Steve commented that they would make wonderful vases except for their tendency to roll around. So I suggested rubber gaskets for them to sit on - meaning they can be positioned any way you want them.

The glass on these is quite thick, and they have wonderful polished edges at the opening. They show some wear from their former lives, but that only adds to their re-purposed charm. Each measures about 6" across and has a 2 1/2" opening.

This is an almost whimsical hanging work light sporting a protective wire cage fashioned from an old apple picker! The light fixture has a 13" long arm with a wonderful old brass hook at the end, and has been rewired with period cloth-covered wire. (It is meant to be wired in place, but if you would prefer a plug at the end, Steven will be glad to put one on for you.)
The wire cage measures about 7" across. The whole effect is vintage industrial with a sense of humor - and certainly one of a kind!

This is a lovely vintage ring set with an oval carnelian cabochon surrounded with a double row of marcasite. This ring shows a high level of workmanship and is in excellent condition. It dates to the 1920s or 30s.
The stone and setting measure about 1 1/8" in length, so it is big enough to make a statement. The marcasite are an excellent cut and quality, making them sparkle beautifully in the light.
This ring is approximately a size 5, but of course could be sized by a jeweler.

SOLD -- SAE Found Object Table Lamp

Interesting form to this curvaceous tall table lamp. There are three sides, with lighter wood inlaid along each. Atop the wooden base is a wonderful bit of found brass - part of an old field telescope - that adds an almost nautical touch.
This lamp is an impressive 26" tall to the fixture, with another 10" to the finial.
