This is a pair of found object vases that we just love. I am not sure what their original purpose was – some kind of fishing floats or insulators or something. But they are fabulous, adjustable, modern vases now!

Let me explain. They are spherical except for the opening, and Steve commented that they would make wonderful vases except for their tendency to roll around. So I suggested rubber gaskets for them to sit on – meaning they can be positioned any way you want them.

The glass on these is quite thick, and they have wonderful polished edges at the opening. They show some wear from their former lives, but that only adds to their re-purposed charm. Each measures about 6″ across and has a 2 1/2″ opening.
