As I planned this post in my mind, I googled the word “vignette”.  At first I was alarmed — did this word, which I use often and with confidence, not mean what I thought it meant?  Would I have to take this post in a whole Princess Bride direction?  But then I read further.

Newest Addition to Our Dog Family

September 17th, 2009

Just a little quickie for you today, as we are busy preparing for the Schoharie Fall Antiques show.  We set up tomorrow, and the show is Sat. and Sun.  There is lots to do between now and then, believe me!
But I wanted to share with you one of Steven’s recent finds, and the newest addition [...]

I am sure you, my loyal reader(s), have been anxiously awaiting the return of Tandem Antiques and Design blogging.  Well, the wait is over!  Thanks to some excellent technical help we are back in the photo uploading game.  In all seriousness, I have found a web designer who has repaired my glitches and is currently [...]

We are here at my mom’s house in North Carolina, enjoying a break from upstate NY’s seemingly never-ending winter.  It is unmistakably spring here, with dogwoods, forsythia, and azalea all in beautiful bloom.  And it is Monday, and therefore time for the Coolest … something.

And the answer is…(you guessed it) not much, beyond the fact that these two types of items are in my ebay-listing sights this week.  I put some dolls up on tandemkids today, two especially that are about 100 years old and really lovely.  I am not in any way a doll person – I don’t [...]

Here we are in North Carolina, on vacation.  I understand that to most people ‘vacation’ means a break from working..but it was Saturday, and there were lawn sales and flea markets out there, and there might be something great…  So, we were up and out the door before 7:00 am in hot pursuit.
The coolest thing we [...]

Saturday shopping trip

July 13th, 2008

We enjoyed a truly beautiful upstate NY summer Saturday today — sunny, hot but not unbearable, with a breeze that felt lovely if you were standing in the shade.  You might say it was a perfect day for a picnic, or a hike in the hills, or a visit to a historical site.  And you would [...]
