Well, is the corn knee high??? Today is the deadline. I learned that when I became a country girl, or at least as much of a country girl as I am.
I hope everyone had fun today. As long as no one got too silly and lit the firecracker sticking out of cousin Billy’s back pocket, or put the corn on the cob into Grandma’s tailpipe, its all good.

Its a funny thing about being an antique dealer – the middle of the week tends to be sort of our weekend. There are lots of reasons – the shop is open Thursday to Monday, antique shows are on the weekend, other shopping opportunites tend to be weekend things. So Tuesday and Wednesday are like a strange version of Saturday. I need to get caught up on laundry and clean my bathroom. This past weekend we were set up at the Round Lake Antiques Fest in Round Lake NY, near Saratoga. This is one of our very favorite shows of the year – for lots of reasons! Its a great show in a truly picturesque little Victorian village – it couldn’t be a more charming setting. And we always do well there, selling fun stuff and re-connecting with lots of repeat customers. But best of all, we have wonderful friends who live right in the village!
