When we do antique shows, I buy myself presents.  I work hard, I am making money to support our family.  I deserve a present.  That’s how I figure it, anyway.  I used to almost always buy jewelry, but lately it’s been dogs.

Dog of the Week – Carved Bulldog

I bought this terrific little carved dog plaque at the Round Lake Antique Show a couple of years ago. I saw him in the showcase of a dealer that I know – a really nice guy who always has an interesting, high-quality small items. I spotted him on Friday, as we were all setting up, but he was a little pricey for something I wanted to keep.

Dog of the Week – 1915 Calendar

Did you know that the days of the month in 1915 and 2010 are the same?  See – today is Sunday Feb. 28, and the 28th of Feb. in 1915 was Sunday too.  It’s the little things that make me happy.
