Summertime…

And the living is … Busy?
I hope you are having a wonderful summer. We are, although I wouldn’t mind a free moment to sit back and appreciate it.
I am beginning to look forward to September and the start of the school year (bite your tongue, Mom!) so I can catch a little break in the excitement. Our plates are full this season with antique shows, family trips and working with our youth group. What is filling your calendar this summer?

Fiberglass dinette set

Ahhh…Hudson. We spent today in our shop on Warren Street. It was hot and steamy, but that didn’t deter the shoppers. And it didn’t deter me either – I took the opportunity (between customers) to clean, dust and re-arrange. I added some new smalls to the shop’s offerings, sold off some old ones for cheap, and generally tried to freshen the joint up a bit.

And I took some pictures!

Re-Launch of our Etsy Shop, and Why it was a Hard Decision

I love etsy. I just want to get that straight right up front.

I’ve loved etsy since way back before a bunch of you even heard of it. July of 2006, to be exact.

Initially I opened my etsy shop as a venue for my artwork. Didn’t know I made art, did you? That’s because I don’t anymore, at least not until my kids go to college, or something. That’s a WHOLE other blog post.

So my love affair with etsy has handmade roots. And back then, that was the only option. There was no “vintage” on etsy.
