Word Study: Texture

Words are cool.  I like words.

Just a single word, something as broad and abstract as “texture”, conjures up emotions, memories, pictures in your mind.  Different for everybody.  What was your first thought when you saw the title of this post?

I was working through a portion of Danielle LaPorte’s Fire Starter Sessions (awesome resource for any entrepreneur looking for a positive kick in the business pants) and she asked me to describe my business in one word.  My mind immediately went blank.  Probably not a good sign.

We Are in Love, at Least on the Surface

The new merch we bought yesterday is everywhere!  This is my life – we go out and fill the van, but then we’re too busy or exhausted to unload it.  Then the next morning Steve has to rush off to the shop in Hudson so anything that isn’t going directly there ends up on the porch, and the dining room table, and the kitchen…its not good.  So that’s where I’m at today.

Taking Pictures in Albuquerque

I love photography, but I am a bad picture-taker.  Or maybe I should say I am a bad recorder - of events, family life, my children.  Thank goodness for my mother-in-law or we might not have any record at all of birthdays, Christmases.  I am more apt to be snapping a picture of some interesting lichen growing on the patio than I am capturing the family reunion.
